Lenita showed our house again yesterday. The couple was divided. The woman loved the house, but the husband does not want to live in a subdivision. We were disappointed...had really hoped this would be the one. I am trying so hard to be patient. It would just be nice to know this step is checked off, so I could move on to the next.
I did decide to not let it get me down entirely...this move thing. I have gone by the hospital several times now, and picked up boxes. I started packing the living room and guest bathroom. Let the packing/chaos begin!
We had a wonderful time in Ada. I love that town and the people. Everyone seemed the same. Darlene never gets any older. It saddened both Kevin and I on the fact that there were so many gone. Those who have left this world...Leonard and Bernice, Roland and Paralee, Walker, ect...Then there are those who have left for other reasons. For some reason, and I know this should be something that shouldn't surprise me, I just really wanted Ada to never change in that regard. It has always been a beacon in my life, and I pray things will be resolved so it will continue to be a beacon in others lives as well.
Anyways, we enjoyed our time. Had a funny incident regarding an invitation song, and one of the brethern coming to Kevin afterwards to say that we might as well have sung "Jingle Bells". Kevin and I have laughed about that. And the "daily double" comment. Haha. Came home to issues here. That is always fun. Sometimes you just have to wonder what the Lord thinks of us all. If it wasn't so sad, it would be downright laughable. I guess life goes on, and we try to learn from the messes we make of things. I pray so, anyways.
about things I love...God, church, family, books, thrift store shopping, ect..

Trying to get out of my depression.
We have our house up for sale, and I am at a loss. I want to sell it quickly so I can begin to definitely do something. However, we have had no nibbles recently. Someone came to look at the house yesterday, but still no news from our realtor. Oh well, I guess I am meant to wonder.
That being said, I decided since I am in a funk; I can't wait for someone to make the first move. I called Glynna, and she gave me some ideas for some boxes. I will start packing the unnecessary stuff tomorrow. (After visiting the ones in the nursing home.) Yay for me! I will conquer this, and be constructive at the same time. (I hope at least :)!)
Halle has been hilarious today. Pigtails bobbing, she stops to do a little dance whenever the mood strikes her. Kevin called today (he is in Ada, OK), and he talked to her twice. She loved hearing his voice, and gave him sugars when he asked. So sweet!

Things I want to remember...
Lauren looked so beautiful and grown-up today. Here lately I have had a pain in my heart when I look at her, because I have this sense that she won't be mine for long. Crazy I know, she is only 8....but just noticing how taller she has become has made me think how fast time is flying by.
Halle has been a little toot lately, but such a loveable little toot! She knows baby sign language for please, thank-you, book, banana, drink, eat, change, shoes, socks, and probably some more that I can't think of right now. Lauren objects to her use of "thank-you" because she uses it when she wants something, and before you give her permission. She has figured out that it is something we desire for her to say, or sign, and are very pleased when she does. The fact that she has figured this out makes me laugh. She loves music, MoMo (Elmo), and Min-Min (Minnie Mouse), the funny thing is, when she asks for either of the latter two, it is with her deep smoker's voice. The sound of it is enough to send me off into spells of laughter. Where this voice came from, I have no idea. I love it though. It just makes me wonder what she will be when she grows up. With her funny voice and sense of humor, I am sure we are in for some funny memories in the future!
